According to customs statistics, the total import and export volume of China's weighing instruments in 2005 was 1.573 billion US dollars, an increase of 5.93%. The total export value was 1.398 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.20%, and the total import value was 175 million US dollars, an increase of 11.96% year-on-year. Import and export offset, the trade surplus of weighing products was 1.223 billion US dollars, an increase of 4.26%.

 

I. Export situation

 

According to the statistics released by the General Administration of Customs, the export volume of national weighing instruments exceeded US$1 billion for eight consecutive years. In 2018, the national export value of weighing instruments reached US$1.398 billion, a year-on-year increase of 5.20%.

 

In 2018, China's cumulative export of weighing instruments to the Asian region was US$465 million, a year-on-year increase of 5.73%, accounting for 33.25% of the total export volume of national weighing equipment. The cumulative export of weighing instruments to the European region was US$423 million, a year-on-year increase of 2.93%, accounting for 30.22% of the total export value of national weighing instruments. The cumulative export of weighing instruments to North America was US$340 million, a year-on-year increase of 7.28%, accounting for 24.28% of the total export volume of national weighing instruments. The cumulative export of weighing instruments to Africa was US$77.68 million, a year-on-year increase of 10.07%, accounting for 5.56% of the total export volume of national weighing instruments. The total export value of weighing instruments in South America was US$69.11 million, a decrease of 0.89% year-on-year, accounting for 4.94% of the total export value of national weighing equipment. The cumulative export of weighing instruments to the Oceania region was US$24.45 million, a year-on-year increase of 10.54%, accounting for 1.75% of the total export volume of national weighing equipment.

 

From the specific market point of view, in 2018, the national weighing instruments are distributed in 205 countries and regions in the world. Among them, the United States and Canada have become the largest market for weighing instruments in China. The EU is the second largest market, ASEAN is the third largest market, and East Asia is the fourth largest market. . In 2018, the export of national weighing instruments to the United States and Canada was 313 million US dollars, up 6.64% year-on-year; the export weighing instrument products to the EU was 292 million US dollars, down 5.48% year-on-year; the export weighing instrument products to ASEAN was 153 million US dollars, up 22.48% year-on-year; East Asia's export weighing instrument products were US$138 million, a year-on-year increase of 2.18%. The exports to the top four markets accounted for 64.03% of the total export value of the scale products in 2018.

 

From the perspective of export shipments, the top two cities in 2018 are still Guangdong, Zhejiang, Shanghai, and Jiangsu provinces. The export value of the four provinces and cities is over 100 million (US$), accounting for 89.22% of the national export. Among them, the export value of Guangdong Weighing Apparatus was 449 million US dollars, up 5.75% year-on-year, accounting for 32.10% of the national export of weighing equipment.

 

Among the national export scale products, household scales are still the largest export products. Household scales account for 43.80% of the national export scale products, with a cumulative export of 612 million US dollars, an increase of 8.58% year-on-year, and the price increased by 4.03%. The second largest export product is still the largest weighing scale 30kg, with a cumulative export of 238 million US dollars, accounting for 17.01% of the national export scale products, an increase of 1.50%, and the average price decreased by 7.06%.

 

The balance with a sensitivity of less than or equal to 0.1mg, the cumulative export value of 21.46 million US dollars, an increase of 14.66%, the average price decreased by 16.96%. The balance with a sense of more than 0.1mg and less than or equal to 50mg, the cumulative export value of 44.01 million US dollars, an increase of 7.06%, the average price decreased by 16.38%.

 

Second, the import situation

 

In 2018, China imported a total of 57 countries and regions, with a total import value of 175 million US dollars, an increase of 11.96%. The import source of weighing products is mainly Germany, accounting for 30.90% of the national scale import, up 12.30% year-on-year; the second is Switzerland, accounting for 17.09% of the national scale import, down 0.09% year-on-year; the third is Japan, accounting for the national scale The import value was 11.74%, a year-on-year increase of 20.68%. The main receiving areas of imported weighing products are Shanghai (accounting for 34.86%), Beijing (accounting for 16.59%) and Jiangsu (accounting for 13.89%).

 

The largest proportion of the national import of weighing instruments is the balance, accounting for 29.06% of the total import value of the instrument. The cumulative import volume is 50.82 million US dollars, up 14.17% year-on-year. The balance is still imported mainly from Switzerland (47.30%) and Germany (29.39%). The main receiving areas of imported balance products are Shanghai (45.41%) and Beijing (23.41%); followed by weighing parts (weights, scales and parts for weighing sensors and weighing instruments) The total amount was 28.70%, and the cumulative import value was 50.2 million US dollars, up 31.17% year-on-year, and the average price increased by 14.61%. The third proportion of imports is quantitative scales, accounting for 17.08% of the total imports of the scales, and the cumulative import value of 29.87 million US dollars, a decrease of 0.53%.

The average price of imported products of national weighing products is significantly higher than the export price.
